September 2022 Holy Consecration
A time of consecration is intended to become centered with the spirit realm, where God communes with His people. It is a time of self-sacrifice, where the flesh is denied the pleasure of its indulgences and appetites. When the flesh is denied, it becomes weakened, hence increasing the frequency of the spirit to both hear and receive what God will release during that time.
Most people who claim to pray don’t consider that their subconscious in many cases is filled to capacity with overwhelming thoughts and pressure from life’s constant activities. From conversations to connections, to suggestions, we are ever bombarded in our consciousness. This type of bombardment can often keep us from accessing the spirit world and certainly receiving from the very same.
God desires to communicate with His people, but our approach cannot be casual, especially when in need of clear direction. There can be nothing in place to impede nor distort our ability to hear from God. Denying the flesh gives our spirit man power over our flesh. We gain an authority over our fears, doubts, depressions, anxieties, and the like. All must come under subjection when we truly yield to the presence and voice of the Lord.
We are entering into a very sensitive space in time, where clarity is a must. For the month of September, I’m calling all members and partners to a time of consecration and seeking the Lord.
Jonah 3:5 NRSV “And the people of Nineveh believed God; they proclaimed a fast, and everyone, great and small, put on sackcloth.”
The entire month, be honest with yourself and give up your pleasures and distractions. Place restrictions on your flesh and hold yourself accountable to this commitment to sacrifice. This is a defining moment.
1 meal per day. (No dietary restrictions outside of the ones you give to yourself)
Drink water/fruit-infused water or natural fruit juice. Smoothies are allowed.
Tithe the hours of your day to time spent with God. (2.4 hours daily) This time can be broken up accordingly, but during your time ensure that you are uninterrupted.
Make a conscious decision to step away from social media platforms during your consecration, unless work or assignment related.
Yokes will be destroyed and the spirit within will be greatly quickened. Remember that with great determination and dedication, anything can be accomplished.
